thought for the day

"...I and [Tash] are of such different kinds that no service which is vile can be done to me, and none which is not vile can be done to him. Therefore if any man swear by Tash and keep his oath for the oath's sake, it is by me that he has truly sworn, though he know it not, and I that reward him. And if any man do a cruelty in my name, then though he says the name Aslan, it is Tash whom he serves and by Tash his deed is accepted." - Aslan, 'The Last Battle' Chronicles of Narnia, book 7, by C.S. Lewis

Happy, A lewis quote. I took a lit studies class on him last fall. By far one of the best lit classes I've ever had. Now I'm like obsessed with his work. Last Battle's my fave book in the Narnia series too. Great choice. Rock on!

its too bad there aren't more 'christians' like him. I might not have left the church if there were.

what exactly do you mean? I can think of several Christians like Lewis and Tolkein..

i was going to say that's one of my favorite quotes, but what i really mean is more like it's one of my core beliefs.
