I have a young coworker, who happens to be our very efficient office manager, and we'll call her V, because that's her name. V plays World Of Warcraft. World of Warcraft is what V does on the weekends. Most of you will know that World Of Warcraft isn't just a game; it's a lifestyle.
V lives with her mum and sisters in a nice house in Bedfordshire. For years, they've all been patronising the same hairdresser, and for various reasons convenient and economic, this hairdresser actually now comes to their house once a month to do everybody's hair.
Last Friday was Hairdresser Day at V's house. Only she forgot this and scheduled her character into a big raiding party! This morning, she recounts this incident to me and says, "So you know what happened, don't you?"
I replied, "She showed up in the middle of the raid and you missed it?"
"No! I got my hair done while going on a raid in World of Warcraft!"......"
