Watcher Julian Alexander
Jun. 9th, 2004 09:42 pmHistory: Born to a family who had been sorcerers for generations, Julian was inducted in due course to some rather unwholesome practices. His heart wasn't really in it, it was just something he did because that's what his family business was, seeking power and trafficing with Dark powers.
20 years ago a team lead by a Slayer and her Watcher were dispatched to foil the dastardly plot of Julian's great-grandfather to meld himself with an ancient demon and thereby gain nearly unlimited power. This rather signifigantly trancended how far Julian was willing to go and he joined forces with the intruders and helped them dash his great-grandfather's plans for power and domination.
Afterwards with no where else to go, the remains of his family and their allies hunting him for his betrayal, Julian returned with Vivian and Malcom (the Slayer and her Watcher) to the Watcher's council and began retraining himself as a warrior of the Light.

It was only recently (a few years ago) that Julian was cleared to recieve a field assignment and was dispatched to keep an eye on a potential slayer, and it was a good thing he was away from base because shortly after that the Watcher HQ was attacked and if he had been there he would have died as well.
It was some time before Julian was aware of the attack and what had happened. He sent in his regular reports by snail mail and did not particularly expect frequent replies. He had been instructed not to reveal himself to the potential he was assigned to, until he was sure she really was a potential.
Moving slowly and cautiously he managed to gather what he needed for the spell over the course of several weeks. When the analysis spell was cast he discovered that she wasn't a potential slayer and began his preperations to return to headquarters. When he tried to call in to recive authorization for transport back to HQ he became aware of what happened.
Now at loose ends and only possesing his own personal resources he fled to a different city and his first priority is a secure base of operations and then to decide what to do next
